GoldMoney appoints new Head of Business Development for Europe

GoldMoney, one of the world's leading online providers of trading and storage facilities for physical precious metals, has appointed Martyn White as Head of European Business Development.

Martyn has 15 years' experience in senior roles, and formerly worked for two offshore law firms in Jersey. His most recent position was as Director of Business Development & Marketing at Sinels Advocates, and prior to this was Senior Business Development and Marketing Manager with Mourant Ozannes.

Jersey based GoldMoney continues to expand its operations and Martyn's appointment is a further strengthening of its key staff. He is looking forward to seeking out new opportunities for the company: 'GoldMoney is a business with smart growth plans for the future and I am really looking forward to being a part of that. It is an exciting area of the financial sector and with the continued economic uncertainties an exciting time for gold and silver, both in the short term with events in Syria, and in the long term as Western economies try to maintain their growth momentum and the world watches how India and China deal with their economic pressures.'

Head of Business Development, Andrew McGowan, has welcomed his appointment: 'Martyn has an excellent track record in generating new business and has an extensive network of contacts. In previous roles he's worked with high net worth individuals, their intermediaries and institutional clients, so is perfectly placed to develop GoldMoney's business. We already have over 8,000 customers across Europe that hold around £310 million of precious metals - Martyn will play a key role in growing these numbers significantly.'

Martyn has also served as a Chairman of the Communications sub-committee of the Jersey branch of the Institute of Directors.
